Since the Windows 11 update 22H2, Microsoft have changed the codec AAC of the system.
This change results into a volume problem into DJUCED when it is decoding M4A and AAC files (that are used in some streaming services like Soundcloud GO+, files legally bought on iTunes or Bandcamp…)
Lots of DJs and music softwares are impacted by this change, and the issue has been reported to Microsoft.
We are hoping for a Windows update that fixes this issue in the future.
Temporary solution #
If you are using DJUCED 6.0.1 and newer version, you can install by yourself manually an AAC decoder as a plugin for DJUCED.
- Download the bass_aac24.zip file and extract it’s content.
- Copy the bass_aac.dll from the x64 folder.
- Paste the bass_aac.dll file into “Documents/DJUCED/plugins” folder.
- Be sure to restart DJUCED to apply the change.
